Does anyone know the actual or scale length of the radio antenna of the M4A3 Sherman. I can find plenty of info on the radio but nothing on the antenna except it used a quarter-wave vertical mast.
Thanks in advance,
Don

I can't figure out where I got this info, but I'd written down from somewhere off the net that, at 1/35 scale, it should be 10.5 cm, and I just checked my M4A3 in its dio, and that's how long I made it. Oh, and it should be black and NOT tapered, just the same thickness the whole way...I think I used .010 brass rod.

Rob,
I think you are correct. As soon as I saw your post I recalled seeing the 10.5 cm spec on the net a long while back. I could not find the site again. Thanks for your help.
