Yes and no. Revell reissued it with some new tooled parts to update it to a modern Bundeswehr howitzer. They basically added a muzzle brake and tail lights. Eduard did a PE set for it, but I do not know if it is still in producction (35 242).

I dont know if its in production, but it is still available. I just ordered one of the Italeri kits through Lucky Models a week ago or so.

As Sabot said, it is the only kit of a US M101. Revell offered it as a German M101A1 with a few extra parts.

Dragon now offers the US 105 mm howitzer. The designation was changed to M101 after World War Two, but the same basic weapon remained in service into the 1980's with some reserve and National Guard units.

There are some differences between the M2A1 105mm used during WWII and the M101 and later A1, in particular the shields and barrel.

If you are trying to depict a post WWII/Korea era weapon, the Italeri kit is closer. Prior to the use the Dragon kit.

There are many parts in Dragon's M2A1 kit, identified as "Parts not for use" which are for the M2A2 / M101 (Forward gun shield, brake levers, gun shield supports, traverse gear etc).
I expect to see a kit from them in the near future, so unless you really want a M101 today, hold fire !

Looking at the parts, it would be possible to build a M101 with Gunshields Removed using the parts from the M2A1 kit

Some of those parts I think are for the T-19 just released. The major advantage of the DML kit is the metal barrel. Not worth the wait IMO.....but as an artilleryman, I have both kits on the shelf!!

The only M2A1 sprue in the T19 kit is "Sprue A" which is the recoil / elevation / sighting / breach etc assemblies, all the fun bits for a possible M2A2 / M101 kit are on "Sprue B" I also have both !

Here is the review of the M2A1 kit:

https://armorama.kitmaker.net/review/4189#

Image 4 is Sprue A
Image 5 is Sprue B

I have built the spare parts from Sprue B into the forward shield assembly onto a spare elevation unit that I have left over from building a M5 from the same kit. I will post photos in a day or so.
