Hi All,
Scratched the racks for the AAVP and now can't find where the pioneer tools are stowed. I've Golgle Image searched but can't find any clear shots of the tools' positions. Can anyone help?
TIA
Tom

Hi Tom
I think that these tools are usually stored inside the AAV. Maybe it's because it's an amphibious vehicle. I've got some pics showing stuff like boathooks, winch, rolls of ropes, slave cables, shackles, shovels, and even a broom strapped to the inner sides of the hull. PM me your e-mail and I will send you some pics if need be.

Cheers Frenchy,
According to the kit instructions they're on the outside but, as I've said, with the storage racks fitted I can't find any pics with them on the outside.
Any pics you can supply I'd be very gratefull of.

Depends, if EAAK is installed, they are all stored inside. If no EAAK, there are tie down and storage points on the right side rear of the hull. However, most crews keep them inside so they don't get lost and in the way of storing bags and gear.

If you still want to put these tools on the outside, here's a picture showing the tie downs and storage points Gino mentions in his post :
on a LVTP-7 :
and on a LVTP7A1 :

Thanks for the pics Frenchy.
The vehicle in your post with the tie down points is lacking the storage racks so I'll leave the tools off.
