....Here's a sneek peek at my nearly finished Polar Lights Seaview vignette. I actually started this several months ago. About the time the kit came out, but there was a yellowing reaction between my clear coat on the submarine and the acrylic gel used for the water. I had to start over from scratch and strip the paint from the sub. I used that as a blessing and built a larger base and scratchbuilt the antenna aray as well as a few things here and there.

I think your water looks great! Would love to see more photos. The color of the water is very nice and the white water coming off the top of the sub is great.
The water looks like its translucent. Is that just the photo or is it kid of clear?
Would love to do something like this myself but with a Sea Wolf or Akula attack sub instead of the the sci-fi Seaview. But, I did like that movie!
Great ice, what's it made of?

It's somewhat translucent. I tried one of those acrylic frames and applied acrylic gel and a wash of blues and greens too both sides. It does a fairly good job of implying depth. The icebergs are resin copies of some rocks that I cut up parts of.

That is very cool. I love it. Great subject, great scene.
Are you going to make the iceburgs a bit on the greenish side near the water line?

I like what you did with water emerging from the sub's openings. Nice detail indeed..

Unfortunately, I didn't take any really good step-by-step photos.
