Hi Gents,

Just finished another rebuild of an old wargaming model, an Esci Panther (I think?). I'm currently tarting up my old collection to sell so I can buy some of the newer/better stuff available now.

cheers
Brent

Hi John,

Thnx for the comments - yeah Napiers not a bad spot!
On the colours - its all brushed, havent got the nerve to buy an airbrush yet. Base is Humbrol yellow 83, camo and shading is GW acrylics, a real mix of colours and trickiness lol. If you want more detail message me, otherwise have a good one!

cheers

The old gal is all done up for a night on the town. The kit looks very nice, I hope I can do as well I've started building some 1/72nd as a break from 1/35th. I have got to learn to tone down the weathering to go with the reduced scale. I hope I can learn from your example.

Hi Tom - and I thought my weathering was a bit heavy. Its a wargaming model and I tend to go a fraction heavier and contrasty with them so they stand out on the table vrs a display model. ............

Now I know where to send all my 1/72 armor to be painted!

I swear it looks like a much larger scale kit! Great job!

Looks really good. How did you paint it with brush? How did you highlight the edges? (Funny, but there's a definate difference between wargaming vehicles and "shelf-destined" model kits in painting style. Your panther merges both in a very nice way.) I wish my 1/72 kits looked like this. (I keep telling myself it's only 1/72...)
