Heya, Folks,
I'm headed off on a business trip and might have some down time at night. Figured I might try to model.
Going to bring the Trumpeter KV-1 Ehkranami --- does anyone have any tips or anything to avoid when building this kit? I'll be replacing the screens with an Aber set after I return home.
I gotta say that I love how affordable many of the Trumpeter kits are!
Hey, does anyone know of any good hobby shops in the D.C. area --- not that I will have the time, but just in case...
As always, thanks amigos!
Much Aloha,
Johnny B.

Nope, no trix, just shake and bake :-)
As you allready have noticed, the meshscreens are the only weak point in this otherwise splendid kit - a bit care is needed with the tracks, but othervise it just falls together.
Have a nice trip!
Cheers

No, IMO, it is a relatively simple kit, but NOT 'shake 'n bake' - depends how far you want to take it....Jim

Watch out for the mounting of the fenders, the brackets don't match up to the hull, leaving about a 0.5-1.0mm gap between then that will have to be addressed if you use the kit included brackets.
Also, don't glue down the return rollers if you plan to install the fenders and then the link-length tracks later for paint/finish purposes, they won't fit and you'll be left with only the vinyl tracks as your option.
