Do the plastic caps on the Abrams road wheels ever break off? Does anyone have a picture of a broken one? Does it send fluids splattering all over the road wheel if it breaks?
I'm thinking about doing that on my DML Abrams.
Thanks

I've never seen one break outright before. They do blow a seal on occasion and cause that road wheel to look all black and nasty. If it's been driving on a dusty trail, it is heavily dusted.

They break if you hit a boulder the wrong way. If you dont catch it in time the whole hub and possibly the entire road arm will need to be replaced. Most the time you just replace the cap and continue on. The plastic is pretty thick so they don't break often.
Crews should be cleaning them once a day to check oil levels.
