I just got an Iwata air compressor and I was wondering if you thought the Iwata Eclipse airbrush was good? I can get a 40% off coupon at HoLo and that makes it about $80 as opposed to $140 so that's a pretty good deal. I was wondering if you all thought highly of the Iwata line or knew of anything I should watch out for?

Pretty much any Iwata is going to be a good quality airbrush. The Eclipse BCS is a good do-it-all siphon feed that is modeler friendly with one needle size only, kinda like the Badger Anthem. I think the included bottle is pretty darn big on them but you can probably get all kinds of smaller ones and color cups. Checkout dixieart.com, its the same price with shipping included

You can also look at the Revolution series, including the CR grav feed with cap. The CR grav feed is easy to clean, has less parts to worry about, and can be used at very low psi without having to siphon paint for detail painting. The only disadvantage is not having a mongo jar, but thats usually not a big deal, the cup will hold enough paint to completely cover a couple afv's anyway. Its about as perfect a dual-action starter airbrush as you can get. $65 shipped, add a hose, and your ready to go!

Hellbent:

I recommend the Iwate Revolution CR. Great airbrush for a decent price. I just started using mine and it rocks.

The gravity fed Eclypse is a very good airbrush for models. It covers well and will do nice fine line work. Laquer, enamels and acrylics work well with it. A well made good quality airbrush. At $80 its a steal! Greg.
