What manufacturers make 1/48 scale tank crewmen? Can you point me to any websites? Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks,
Erik

Try this website:

http://www.adalbertus.com.pl

Some of the reviews I have read regarding their resin items has been very good. The latest mail I had from them stated that they had just released a US tank crew in 1:48.

Hope it is some help.

Any particular nationality? There are loads of German crew figures but fewer from the Allied countries. Here's some that I can think of:

Art of War/Squad 48 - German, American, Russian (you could obtain them via The Red Lancers )

Gaso.line - German, American, Russian(via Quarter Kit )

Takahashi Modelling - Superb individual German figures in resin (via Hobbylink Japan)

Nimex from Spain - German crew figures in resin Nimex 1/48 figures

Hecker & Gorros - White metal figures from Germany (also available via The Red Lancers)

Verlinden - Various German and American crew figures

There are several more that I can not recall at the moment.

Thanks for the input guys. You've steered me in the right direction.

Geoff, I'm looking for WWII German tank crew dressed in winter gear. I need a tank commander for a Tamiya Panzer III Ausf. L as it appeared with the 1st SS panzer division "LSSAH" during the battle of Kharkov in February 1943.

Does anyone know where I can purchase these figures?

The standing tank commander in reversable parka is perfect for my project.

Thanks!
Erik

Those Toro figures are among the figures available from Quarter-kit, though I'm not aware of any retailer in the US. Toro do have a web site, but it seems inaccessable at the moment. Gaso.line and Squad48 also do figures in the reversable winter uniforms.

Mig Products (who produce Mig pigments) have a set of 4 winter Panzer crewmen, however none of these are full figs, but 1/2 torsos. They are resin, and are the best sculpted figs in 1/48 that I have yet seen. They rival the best resin figs in 1/35! Probably any retailer who carries Mig products can supply them.
