Got a couple of questions here and figured to start a new topic. Has anyone released a reasonably priced set of figures for the locomotive kit. I mean I am looking at $10 for a set of 2 or 3. not one of those $20 a piece type. The other thing I am curious about is antiaircrft protection. I have a 37mm on a halftrack. I figured on strapping it down to a rail car and having it manned. Would this have been done? If not would one of those ground monted / towed versions be placed on a rail car? My preference is the halftrack version as I already have a kit built and really don't wnt to go out and buy something else. The Br52 with a pe set and 4 rail cars has really taxed my budget, but what can I say....I have an addiction !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, the BR 52 and 4 rail cars!I wish I had the room for that!
As far as the figures, the only ones I've seen are a single figure from Blast Models, and 1 2 figure set from Warriors, which look really bad, IMHO. Both are resin, so they aren't cheap.
As for your other question, I guess they could've used the halftrack in an emergency, but I thnk they normally ahd flak mounted to railcars; "jabos" were the primary threat to German railroads and locos.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Good luck with a really large project!!

A friend pointed me in the CMK direction. They have a couple of 2 figure sets, but after looking at them, I think I'll go with making my own out of some other figures.
I have to agree with the mounted on the halftrack. It would have been pretty tough, of course if a plane is coming at you to kill you I would bet they would use any and everything they could.

Mini Art and Master Box makes german tankcrews in working situations that can be used to crew the BR 52 - at a very fair price.
