Hi everyone, i am searching for informations about the british early cruiser tanks, from Mark I to Mark IV.
It seems that they are completely negleted by major modelling firms and book publishers, but all in all they were the mainstay of the RAC in the first 2 years of war, they were used in France,Greece and in the first stages of the desert war.
Can anyone sugget me some website or some book to gather more informations about there vehicles???

I've been reading a book called "The Great Tank Scandal: British Armour in the Second World War Part 1." It is by David Fletcher and published by HMSO Books (ISBN 0-11-290460-2). It has a good review of the development of British armor and the multitude of errors (and successes) they made. The back cover lists him as the librarian of the Tank Museum at Bovington.

Gidday marco,
Just recently Military Modelling magazine did a couple of in depth articles on the Tank, Cruiser Mk I - I don't have the issue number on hand, but there's bound to be someone who does.
You're right about the lack of information about these vehicles.

Military Modelling magazine in the UK has published several articles over the years, which are probably the best source of info (really small print means lots of info). These were mostly articles that coincided with the release of 1/35th scale kits from Cromwell, one of the UK's bigger resin kitmakers. The kits are still out there--perhaps you can find a fellow modeller in your area who has the relevent back issues.
