Hi everyone this is one of my first postings here so be gentle
You all probably know how great this little Tamiya gem is so I won't go much into details, here's a few pics instead:
I just added the hinges on the hood, and that's it. Oh yeah, the minime broke during the transport back home from a competition... It won 1 prize in OOB part

Great job Mario!
Thats a really neat little vehicle. I like the effect of the weathering as it gets lighter higher up the vehicle. It looks very realistic and just "right"
I would be interested to hear a bit more about how you weathered it. Esp. the splashed mud effect and what colour you used.
My only nit pick and its very minor is the handle on the rear door. It looks like the molding line is still on it.
I have seen this kit at the LHS and been tempted to pick it up for something different, your work has gotten me interested again.
Thanks for sharing with us. Its really nice to see something a little out of the ordinary.

Yeah i guess i oversaw that one... little sanding should take care of that...
The weathering was easy - first base colour, than postshading with the same + some white, light black wash and then airbrush fun. I set the pressure low so the paint (i think it was rlm something sandgelb) came out spitting - the spotty stuff on the hood and sides, and wit more of the same diluted paint i lightly painted it on the doors. Mud was made with tamiya weathering stick, and more weathering with tamiya weathering sets, which i didn't like so much. Harder to apply than regular pastel dust
Glad you like it. If you can - get it! it was much fun assembling it, as it is a fast and accurate kit to make

Thanks for your speedy reply! I can see one of these being added to my stash before too long.

Sure no prob... there are a lot of pinmarks tough on the inside parts of the doors and the roof hatch, don't let that discourage you, it's a really good model.
