I was tempted the other day when I saw the new Dragon 1/72nd scale M4A1 Sherman Normandy kit. It is also marked 'Armor Pro' and having been adding some of the diminutive PE additions that are contained within the packaging, it is a beautifully moulded model. So in short time as the price was reasonable I thought that I would have a change and build something in the same scale as the Airfix kits that I started with, decades ago.

I have one question, the kit comes with the wonderful DS tracks, not one set but two and I would like to cast around to see which people who know more about the Sherman as to which set I should use.

One pair appear to be those that I am familiar with, which are faced with the raised cherons but the other which I believe are T49 tracks and are much flatter in profile, both like the rest of the kit beautifully presented, but which set should I use?

All of the offerings are in US service and the turret has only one hatch with a split cover, any help or advice would be gratefully received.

John
