Looking at the Dragon Airborne Normandy figs, I see the bazooka guy carries both the gun and two spare rounds. Would one guy carry everything like that, or would somebody else carry the spare rounds for him?
Thanks
Harry

As airborne troops, everyone would carry a bit of everything. But you're right, an assistant gunner would carry more, normally in a sling type thing that held 3 rounds (see the Dragon US Anti Tank team, as it comes with 2, as do all of the anniversary editions of the older DML American troops).

Harry, Rob's correct about everyone carrying a bit of the ammo for a bazooka. Frequently, some guy loading up for a jump would be told, "Here, carry these rockets and turn 'em over to the assistant gunner, when you find him." Everyone contributed to getting as much ammo to the drop zone as possible. Showing two, or three guys together as a team wouldn't be unusual. HTH, Dave

Harry, I know from experience in the British army, ammo for support weapons was spread throughout the section. Everyone would carry link for the GPMG and 84mm rounds for the Charlie G would be handed out to anyone with space to carry them. I would imagine it would be more accentuated for Airborne forces considering they dropped with everything they needed with minimal chance of resupply. If you think you'll need it you carry it. You can always throw it away later if you don't :-) . maybe thats why theres so much unexploded ordnance all over Normandy :-). When I was a gunner (GPMG) I carried more than my allocation of ammo as I didn't want to rely on others getting ammo to me. Same could be said of a bazooka man.If his No2 was hit he'd have no bazooka rounds so I'd say yes he'd have carried some himself.

Once again my little question is answered brilliantly!
It makes sence the gunner carrying ammo, just in case. Quite a lot of weight! :-)
