Good day,

I'm in the process of building some things, not historical figures, which I would like to use the colours of the Russian army anno the second World War.

I have been browsing around the forums, and also the net, to no avail. It is really hard to find good pictures with good colours, and to be frank I have had a really hard time trying to replicate the colours I did find.

So to be bold, does anyone know of some good colours for this? Preferably of the Vallejo range, since I mostly like to use acrylics when I paint.

Thanks in advance,

In the Vallejo range:
924 Russian Uniform + 988 Khaki 3:2
You can experiment til you get the right shade you want.

Marcus,

actually I'm also painting a russian soldier.
I choose the same colours 924 Russian Uniform + 988 Khaki in ratio 1:1. Basically I think this mix is still a little to dark, but according to reference photos of reenactment groups it seems to be ok.
i can send you a link to such a group at the weekend, when i have access to my other computer.

Thanks for the replies.

Then it seems like 924 and khaki is the way to go. While I did have Khaki in my stash, my local supplier is not stocking 924, so I can't try it out until my online order gets through. Typical isn't?

The 924 looked awfully green, but that could just have been a bad picture on the online store?

Foxy: Yes, that would be lovely, since pictures are always helpful.
