Count me in too, there's an M2, a FAMO, and several 251s in the stash - may be just the incentive I need to build them. But which one ? Decisions, decisions . . . . .

So what to build when this Campaign gets approved…

I’ve got two kits (the old Tamiya 251C and the new Dragon 251C w/flame thrower).

The old Tamiya is the less common riveted hull as we all know, but the Dragon kit comes w/ two hulls (one riveted & one welded). I’d hate to throw half of the Dragon kit in the waste bin, especially when it’s better than the Tamiya kit. But when could I use half of a half-track?

While looking thru some Russian book websites for inspiration, I notice a book about a guy who pulled a 251D out of a local river and restored it (it’s all in Russian – don’t know where). I’m thinking can’t be the only halftrack that ever ended up in a river. Then, a brainstorm (most of the things in my brain are a storm). Put half of the kit underwater like the book!

I sketched it up to visualize the layout & size. Might look something like this:

So what do you think? I’m looking for feedback before I start something this big. Bashing the top half of the Dragon to the bottom of the Tamiya, or Dragon in the river? I’ve never done snow or ice before, how hard is it?

Feedback & ideas appreciated

Wow!! I can already visualize the snow and the ice. Brrr..cold.
That is going to be 1 beautiful piece. I love the idea. Lets hope the campaign is approved, i can't wait to see the end product of this.
