Hi Jim,

Although the stash is at maximum level as I await the promised 251 UHU varient, I think that I shall set a small space aside for one of these.

I think that Dragon are onto a winner with the premium edition kits as I think that they offer phenomenal value for the work that has been done to bring them up to match the latest models that they are producing.

I look forward to the full review.

The premium series is some of the most value per dollar I have ever seen in modeling.

Knowing how good their T34 series is already, not to mention how quick they build with such a clean exterior, I will definately have to pick up a couple of those in short order

That looks really nice. Seems like the decal sheet has been expanded and the detail in the tires updated.
I bought the original kit in 2003 and it's still in progress... But that's mainly because I'm building it as a post-war Finnish vehicle with many scratch-built details and modifications. (okay, I admit there's also something to do with general laziness here! )
I hope they have included two gun mantlets like in the 1:72 scale kit and two sets of wheels. I had to get a maquette wheel set and still have to modify the gun mantlet by widening the "wings" on it.

No way! I can't imagine we'll be having that many PE parts on this kit. Absolutely fantastic! Waiting for the review to come.

On the last pic, is that wheel all steel or still with rubber?

I think you're thinking of another. What kind of domes are you referring to? I'm getting curious here.
The only domes I can think of are the ventilators on the turret roof.
I'm building PS. 245-3, featuring clipped fenders, new storage boxes, a larger plate over the gun mantlet, and this storage rack on the right fender, just to mention a few.

Edit: What has been done to the links? They're not so visible anymore. When I looked at my post I didn't even notice them at first. I liked the old underlined different colored link better...

My bad - no, I was thinking of the Yugoslavian 'Taski Tank Vozila A' - which looks more like a submarine with tracks...Jim

Dont get to carried away with the premiun edition kits, they might have thrown in a bit of etch and a barrell , but theres not that much retooling going on, although if yu dont have the kit they are good value, just b wary of the hype, cheers Bob.

Bob, there are certainly areas of this kit which COULD have been re-tooled. The turret could have got some attention (for example). One of the major improvements is the (NEW) running gear which is IMO, the best T34 running gear produced up until now. Some of the premium kits get more attention than others - look at the recent Panther kit and you'll see what I mean, it's virtually a new kit. No, Premium Edition is NOT simply marketing hype at all...

I agree, I have the king tiger and the cyberhoby king tiger, the panther and the cyberhoby panther stadgas, the elefant, and the Panzerkampfwagen VI(P), they pretty much rock. I can't wait for the reworked T34 and the Stug III.
