Hi Kevin,

Resicast 6pdr :-) :-) :-)

Would it not be the same as the Lloyd? Didn't SSC No 15 have to be used up before they changed the colours I' m sure that came up in the Lloyd post?

Alternatively you could check out MAFVA :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

Any problems with the kit? It looks like a great one.

Cheers

No not yet Alan. Just a little forward planning. The Loyd comes with a spare wheel for either the Tamiya or Resicast 6 pdr. The Tamiya is obviously out of the question. I was just curious as to whether the gun would be the same colouring as the carrier.

If the carrier is towing the gun, then generally.. Yes, it would be the same or similar colour.

When they were issued to the unit, the crew would paint both the same colour. Not because of Cam but because the RSM doesn't like things that don't match... Not Regimental, y'see!

Alan, Derek and Murdo,

So would my SCC No.2 Loyd witha spare wheel in SCC no.15 be unlikely and look out of place?
Oh and Yes. It will be on Santas list. And the way things are improving with Allied pieces it is going to be a long list!!!!

Cheers

Hi Alan,

Everything on hold... Unfortunately we're packing as we're being forced to move from BFG back to UK.

Unfortunately wee Son may have "possible" Autism and SCE (Service Childrens Education) are refusing to educate him.

Hi Kevin,

No, I don't think so. The spare could have come form anywhere and might well not be the same colour.

My thoughts anyway.

Thanks Al,

Just as a "further" to the above and the RSM

Once, in West Germany, during a CO's parade of all the vehicles, all wagons were painted as per standard British green and black Cam... And they all looked superb!

However, one of the Recce Platoon Scimitars was painted with a very striking, artistic Tiger Cam. This thing could have hidden in a very small bush and nobody would have noticed it, the paintwork was that good!

Recce Platoon thought themselves the Creme de la Creme!

The CO congratulated the beaming Recce crew on their Cam job and moved on

As the CO moved on the RSM turned to the Recce crew and muttered in his sweet, gravelly whisper...

Very artistic! You . I'll be back in 15 minutes and this piece of had better be painted in standard Cam! AND the paint had better be DRY!

While the rest of us buggered off for a beer or six, Recce were feverishly repainting the Scimitar!

Bummer! :-) :-) :-)

Hi Murdo,

What can I say :-) :-) :-) :-)

If it stands still paint it, - if it moves salute it - and always be on parade 5 minutes beforehand because there is always some silly bugger who turns up late and he gets all the
