What colors are appropriaye for jerry cans and oil cans (U.S. WWII) ? It probably seems obvious, but it's not to me.

I paint mine olive drab and sometimes drybrush with other shades of drab.

I usually paint mine a dark black green, then drybrush with OD.

wwII jerrycans are usually OD, except for the german ones which was use on the africa campaign and the british too on the same campaign.
