Not to sure about conversions, but the later Merkava tanks have mortars that can be loaded, aimed and fired from inside the turret. I believe the tube opening is forward of the loaders hatch.

Are you referring to Armoured Cars (Azimut AML-60 has 60mm mortar and coax .50 )
Tanks?SPs?
Russian NONA 120mm SPM Alanger/EE makes one

IJA had a conversion of a Naval 12cm mortar on a type 97 chassis -
I think MR models makes that conversion for the Tamiya kit.

I guess my question was rather vauge. I guess I shouldn't post when I'm busy with something else. I was thinking about vehicles whose primary weapon is a turret mounted mortar (like the russian NONA)
I was really hoping for one of the ones mounted on the M113, or the streched version of it.

Tamiya offered a kit of the M106A1, an M113-based mortar system (it has been superceded by another variant in US service since the kit was released). No turret, just two large roof mounted doors that allow the mortar to be elevated, traversed and fired from the vehicle interior.

You mean something like this:

I've never seen a kit, but I suppose it would be reasonably easy to make one though.

2cav, yep, like that.
Now that I am at home (where the books are) I have the name of the specific turret that I was thinking about: Delco Defense Systems 120mm Armored Mortar System (AMS) mounted on a United Defense MTVL (stretched M113) The others mentioned, NONA and AMOS (the twin barrel job) would be cool also. Are there any kits/conversions of these out there?

By the way, thanks to everybody who posted!
