I am trying to model an assortment of engineering vehicles and not get stuck in rut. Were there any cromwell Dozers comng ashore on D-day with the Canadians at Juno? What units were they with and is there a source for decals for them? Also did they have the wading gear on when they came ashore vs being used at Sword or with a different unit?

I don't believe that the Cromwell dozer was configured for the Normandy invasion. It entered the theatre later, I'm pretty certain.
Good books for you would be Ludovic Fortin's "British Tanks In Normandy" by Histoire and Collections and David Fletcher's "British Tanks of WW2: France & Belgium" by Concord.

Hi Jim,
The Cromwell was tried out in this role but was 'found wanting' and to the best of my knowledge wasn't available in this confiiguration for D Day.
When the AA Centaur tanks became redundant this hull with it's greater weight was used. the War office wanted 250 of these machines who were built by MG Cars of Abingdon and issued to 87th Assault Sqn RE in 79th Armd Div. However deliveries were slow and they didn't go operational until April 45.
The Osprey book 'Cromwell Cruiser Tank 1942 - 50' is a useful reference for the various roles the tanks were tried out/used in, but I'm afraid I can't tell you anything specific about the Canadian AVREs.
Cheers
Al
