Painting link and length tracks

hi all,
ive read the post/thread on painting tracks/treads but i have a problem.
im loving the 48th tamiya tanks but pulling my hair out as to how to paint the road wheels and tracks after they have been assembled. any other ideas or tips?

You can either put the track together, leaving one small section off and then take the tracks off (once the glue has set) and paint them and put them back on. Or you can glue the tracks to the roadwheels to give you correct sag and then once the glue has set, you should be able to take the roadwheels and tracks off as one subsection. This would allow you more freedom to move around and paint the wheels and tracks.

I got bit by that 1/48 bug too! So far, I like taking and painting the track on the sprues for a starting coat, removing the road wheels and painting them before installing, painting any rubber afterwards, then assemble it all onto the chassis, touch up the tracks, and then weather/wash the whole thing...then attach the upper half.
May not be the best way for all, but I like it.
