After watching "A Bridge Too Far" this weekend, I got this idea for a dio.
It is based on the scene where James Caan's character (who in a previous
scene promises his CO that nothing will happen to him on the mission) finds
his CO mortally wounded and picking up his CO, jumps in a Jeep and drives
through enemy lines to get his CO back to a medical outpost.
I'll have them skirting a German patrol on the road, driving through the
forest, dodging trees an more Germans with another patrol firing at them
from behind in the woods as well...
On a side note, the actor that portrays the wounded CO is now in a Canadian
series called "Davinci's Inquest" and hit on my wife at a recent TV awards
show in Toronto... Mebbe Caan should have let him die
Cheers, Michael

My new idea for WW2 Dio, what u think?

Nice scene to rebuild !
I would like to rebuild the scene from A Bridge Too Far where Frost is on top of the building near the Bridge overlooking the situation thought his binoculars....
I always have visions rebuilding Hotel Hartenstein (Roy Urqhuart's HQ)....... a bit too much for me at this moment, but the vision keeps coming back.......some day.......perhaps some day.
I would love to see your scene BB !! Good luck and kep us posted.

Someday I will build the 88 that the Germans towed into the park at the north end of the bridge. Fired directly at the British Airborne troops. Too many dioramas in there to mention.
