I was asked in a PM about adding photos of group builds in the gallery. I wanted to share part of my answer here as it obviously impacts anyone who has sent photos for the gallery recently.
...they can do that (send photos) but if they want them on the web in a more timely fashion they should probably use the MSN site or other photo publishing sites. Right now my content priorities are features, reviews, and news stories, with gallery additions coming in close to last. This may change when I can get the gallery software updated to more easily show what new items are added and also so that it's not slowing our site down in a major way. To be very honest the current gallery is just way over-limit at 6000 plus photos.
This problem is also tied to our current servers memory limitation so when I can upgrade the server I may be able to get away with a higher limit on the current gallery software.
Cheers,
Jim

I know how you feel Jim. The resources needed by "Gallery" for large galleries makes it very impractical. I've been waiting for the next version as well to see if it would suit me better. I had to give up on gallery because of the problems you are experiencing. Unfortunately, the development on "My_eGallery" is horrible. No ones heard from the developer in well over a month.
