One of the serious problems in planning against Canadian doctrine is that the Canadians do not read their manuals, nor do they feel any obligations to follow their doctrine.

Used some shim stock to replace the rear fenders, might do the fronts as well....
Found this easier to use than lead foil as it is a little thicker and less brittle.
As you can tell she's gonna be rode hard and put away wet!

I finished mine and here are some heads up. Get the Tamiya T-55 and use all the pieces you can. The road wheels, the fuel tanks, the machine gun etc... The quality of those parts are far better and the effort you are having to go through will make it worth while. I used an AEF turret and guntube. I didn't like the verlinden ones. The back deck cooling louvers are a wash out. If you want them to fit and you want the back deck lid down then some major mods need to be done grinding away in the engine compartment. I used the Tamiya louvers but recessed them like the actual T-62 has them. I also used Friule track. Tanxheaven should have some good photos to help. Greg
I was planning on having the back deck opened up anyway so those louvers should not pose any problems.
This build is pretty much gonna be OOB with the Verlinden kit, I do not want to spend too much money on it! besides i just finnished Tamiya's T-55 and cannot justify purchasing it for canabilzation (sp?).
cheers

I'm gonna leave the right rear fuel tank and the front fender fuel tank off with alot of wear and tear!

One thing to remember with the Tamiya T-62 and T-55...the T-55 is true 1/35 scale, but the T-62 is 1/32.5 or so...so the Tamiya T-55 parts will look a touch undersized, especially with the T-62's other dimension problems...
Very nice looking build, keep up the good work. Especially nice for only 7 pounds!
