I'm browsing the hobbyterra website and noticed Marquette has a 1/35 Pz38t and a Pz I kit. They also sell kits of track links for the same vehicles. If you buy the kit, do you get the link tracks, or do you have to buy the link tracks along with the kit? By the way, are the kits any good?

hey,
it's been my experience ,that marquette models are not very good, unless thier the only game in town ,go elsewhere.I've built thier British Valentine,Russain T34/85 with mineroller and ZIS-30,and also thier German 140/1 .The plastic is soft, lack detail, and crispness, lot of flash, and delicate parts broke, instruction are poorly laid out,and confusing at times. The german 140/1 and ZIS-30 where flat out horrible,in the end, they turned out decent ,but alot!of extra work, small interior parts needed to be left off,,tracks hit the fenders!!gaps the need to be filled, ruining rivit detail(140/1),but they where the only game in town, the T34 and Valentine where alittle better,In regaurds to the 38t,you'd be better off with Italeri's and if you can afford them,Tristar's,in regaurd to the Panzer I,again Dragon makes the Panzer I B,along with Italeri, and the Panzer I A is now made by Dragon,Tristar and also MasterBox ltd.
As far as i know, the individual track links come with both Marquette models, but Marquette tracks are a pain to clean up,if you can afford them ,go with Dragon's Panzer I's,and MaterBox,will build up nicely also.

I've got both sets of tracks and they are the same tracks included with their kits. The 38t tracks also include road wheels on the same sprues. The Pz 1 tracks are just individual track links.
Kits are typical eastern European, accurate in shape, but rough in fit and softer detail than you'd find in Italeri/Dragon/Tamiya kits.
I do recommend the 38t tracks if you have an old Italeri 38t that needs to be built. Cheap way to correct the kit's oversized road wheels and replace the stiff Italeri silver tracks.
