Hello!
I have an old M-109A1/A2 and Iīd like to convert it to an M-992 FAASV. I know that must have some aftermarket resin set for this over there, but Iīd like to do it using my scratch skills (poor skills, I must say).
Does enybody has any good plan of this model? Any chances I get to the point or is this useless?
I found good plans on Google, but the link didnīt work here for me... just the Google thumbnails worked
Well any help is appreciated!!
Bye,
Marcelo

Unfortunately there is no AM conversion for an M992 FAASV. I have some plans though. I plan to convert one as well.
Email sent on it.

Hi Marcelo
In fact, a resin M992 full kit had been released by Nimix some times ago but it's now OOP. AFAIK, it was not a very accurate replica....
There are some basic drawings on Webshots :
M992
Maybe you should start with a 1/87 model :
Roco-Minitank M992
Good luck with your project !

I've got one of the Nimix offerings, bought this summer for 12 as a bargain, and is a bad bunch of resin.
It's a full kit with interior, and some parts badly coppied from the Italeri M109 kit.
I was looking for some information too, and I found some bad line drawing plus a little amount of photos, I hope you have better luck

Iīll send you later what I found, ok? There are some very good technical manuals on the web, in pdf, and I can send you too.
Well, itīs a big project, but first letīs get the most material we can!
Hello Henri!
I didnīt know this resin kit. Well, but as this one is dificult to me to get, Iīll try the scratch.

Marcelo

Marcelo and Gino,
Could either of you list the proper TM's that would help in getting proper info on the FAASV?
I may be able to convince someone to do a conversion, possibly, but I have to do the research...

Thanks Marcelo...I can look the TM's up on the web, just needed to know the specifics. Now, once I have enough info, to see what to do next...

Hi Marcello,
Have a look at the following site:
http://www.inetres.com/gp/military/cv/eng/M992.html
I've used this one to build my M-992 Faasv about 85-90 % is accurate.
It took me a lot of work and efforts and A LOT OF SWEAT !!!
