Has vallejo changed the formula of their gray spray primer or what?
A few days ago I bought a can of gray primer that I've found to be good and used for several years now. To my disappointment, the paint was different to what I expected. Now it was actually gray, much darker than the earlier, which was more like sand yellow. The paint also didn't handle as nicely as the aerlier type.
The only difference in the cans was the number. The earlier can didn't have any, the new is 28011. Is the sand yellow "gray" even made anymore? Do I have go and find another brand of primer now?
It was great, dried in minutes and could be "polished" with a napkin. The light color was also good for painting both dark and light colors over it. Now this new paint is too dark for yellows and light grays, for example.
I also bought a can of white primer at the same time, hoping it was the type as the earlier gray. No luck with that either.
I checked another LHS today, they only had the new 28011 too. Damn.
