Thanks Danial

The airborne dio was a test dio for a
bigger dio 600 x 450mm
I started this back in 2004 and finally completed it back last August

The germans are from Verlinden with a head change and
Warrior

Cheers
Michael

Hi Michael,
Welcome to the big A.
Very nicely done too mate. I recognise a number of the figures. Particulary the US guy throwing the grenade.

also taken the liberty of fixing the image links for you:

Cheers,
Andy

Band of Brothers series as your inspiration? Straight out of one of the first episodes, great series, with tons of ideas through it.

Nice work on the dio.

Hi Michael,

That's an impressive first post. Your figures look excellent and you captured the idea of the fight really well which is a hard thing to do.

A great sense of action and a grand layout, thanks for sharing this one if this is you first dio you should be mighty proud of what you've avhieved.

Thanks for sharing and I'll look forward to seeing more of your work

Way to go.......

Cheers

Hi

Patrick,
All the Paras come from Verlinden.

I started with Dragon Operation Varsity Lakes figures but they lacked
in movement .Hence I shelved the dio for awhile and did a lot of searching through the internet to find the right figures.
The Verlinden range had what I wanted .

The idea was to create movement and a sense of urgency as like the series.

Thanks for the great feedback

Cheers

Hey Micheal

I saw a topic of this dio on missing lynx I believe. It looks absolutely great. Nice build and some action going on. Great scene.

You might be able to put all the pics here for us?

Cheers Roel

That is a bloody superb piece of work! Not only is it beautifully painted but the dynamics in there make it really happen for me. Whats next?

I appreciate your comments,

I did rush this dio to get it completed for our Brisbane show QMHE06

There was no in progress work photos because of the urgency to get something done and entered in the competition.
The band of brothers dio was to get me kick started back into making diorama's again.
I still have a few things to do on the dio with the final weathering and highlighting
The last 1 was "the Grape " in 2000.
images are on Missing lynx.

As for the future project
a diorama 4 times the size of Band of Brothers
600 x 450mm .
There are some photo's of what I have just started on the kitmaker site.

Its going to take about 6-8 months thereabouts
I will keep you posted as I go .

Thanks again

Cheers
