HI , recenty i have purchased an Iwata HP-CH airbrush and I was going to start using with my Paasche D200 air compressor and i have quicly realized that hose i have been using previously (it came with my old Aztek 470) won't fit onto the Iwata...so my question is, I'm not sure what size is the connector of on that "old" hose but it fits prefectly on my air compressor but the other end of the hose is just for Aztek aibrush that meaning it can't be used with my new Iwata so now i need a new hose that will let me use Paasche D200 and Iwata airbrush. I know Iwata's size is 1/4" but what's the size on connector on Paasche (which is compatible with aztek regular hose) I hope i didn't make it too complicated for anyone who will read it and You guys will be able to help me find a correct hose for this set up.
Thanks
Greg

They make conversions for specific hoses. My Iwata has the Iwata brand Badger-to-Iwata adapter, because I still also use two Badgers. Any LHS that stocks Iwata should have or can order one, or any online retailer like dixieart keeps them.

EDIT: If it is an Aztek hose, I am not sure if it matches another brands threads. You could get a quick-disconnect setup for an Iwata and trim off the old fitting if its a braided line(super easy to do) The quick disconnect is a great addition anyway.
I wonder if it matches Badger, as the connector is very small. I have an Aztek burried deep in the closet for about 8 years, I will have to try it to see if it fits my current hoses. Hmm.

They make an adapter for the Paasche to Iwata. I use a Passche hose on my Iwata.

Hi Greg.
IIRC the Iwata has an 1/8 connector (1/4" sounds way too big for an AB). The D200 though does have a 1/4" connector, so your looking for a pretty standard 1/4 to 1/8 airhose.

I think the hose matches and Aztek as his compressor was a Paashe, but the pen he uses is the Axtek...

Well, they say a pictures worth a thousand words, so lets see if this helps.
Iwata airbrush with an Iwata to Paasche Air hose Adaptor.
Compressor Manifold, using 1/4 inch fittings. No adaptor this end, as Paasche hose screws right on.

I just pulled out my old Aztek and the thread is very small and coarse, even smaller then the Badger air fitting. You may need another hose.

:-) Been reading this whole thing wrong, You need a new hose, only thing an Aztex hose fits is an Aztex brush. You could get an Iwata hose but they cost more than a Badger with an Iwata adapter, or a Passche with an Iwata adaptor. That's why I use a Passche hose with the Iwata airbrush, the 10 foot hose and adaptor was half the price of an Iwata 10 foot hose.

Thanks guys, I have just ordered Paasche hose with inline moisture trap from BearAir.com and adaptor for Pasche hose to connect Iwata airbrush to it , i think that's what i need.
Can't wait for it so i can start a little practicing...well maybe more than a "little"
I should have take a few pics of what i have to demonstrate what my "problem" is but i think i got what I needed.
connector on my paasche compresor fits perfectly a regular hose from Aztek (same size as compereesd air in cans that You can buy in most hobby stores -kind of big, not sure of it's size though)
Thanks
Greg

If the new hose does not fit the compressor, there are dozens of different brass fittings for supply lines you can go through at home depot to get the right size for about $1.50. They have almost every possible adapter, even if for some reason you need to make the fitting larger
