Hi,
I was wondering if I will run into trouble when trying to do a wash on rubber tires. I normally use oil washes and was wondering if the miniral spirtits I use will just melt the whole thing.
Also, what about if I spray some paint on then (again, oil-based enamel thin with MS) to replicate some dust. Would this also cause the rubber to melt?
Any help will be appreciated.

I have painted whitewalls on old car tires with enamels(over Tamiya laquer white primer for the coverage) with no issues. I would imagine it would be fine as its the same vinyl used in 'rubber-band' tank tracks.
