DAMN MIlo, are you trying to build yourself a company of Abrams? I beleive the count is 3 so far?
Good looking beast! One thing to add, but you might want to ask the tankers for sure, but I beleive the extra road wheel and sprocket is attached/secured to the 4 bolts right in front of the "man hole" cover. One or two bolts are removed and longer ones are replaced to secure the road wheel.

Good work, Miloslav- is this the build that sparked debate about placement of the tow bars? Did you freehand that camoflage, or a soft mask? Also, is this the Dragon AIM kit with Trumpeter mine rollers? I ask because of the engine cover being correct (I think) but I would hope that no one would sacrifice the DML M1 Panther II for the rollers! I like the placement of the ammo cans on the bustle rack, as well.

Mike, I just noticed that. Milo, you have the old engine cover on this M1A1, meaning, the two access covers on the engine deck are not there?
Plus, I might of confused you a bit. it doesn't matter what road whell you use, just move it over to the left a bit on top of those four bolts in front of the "man hole" cover.

Looks good. Only one nit pick. The tow bar would not be camo. They are not left on when the tank is painted. The tow bar should be dark green. I also agree about the older (M1 or M1IP) engine deck and the spare road wheel placement. What kit is is from? It is also missing the stiffining "X"s on the front fenders.

Hi Mike,
I have pics from Evrope and here is tow barsin camo but I my tow bars make of on one color,
Model is only on progress no finish.
You have truth engine deck is no correct because I sacrifice the DML M1 Panther II. I build Panther II and my son tell me that this is no tank and I must take old DML turret and make of tank.

That's not always hard and fast, Gino. They old style can still be found, even on A2's. There was a pic on here the other day without them. Here's an A1, from Prime Portal, that show's one with, one with out.
Hera is the same.

GREAT!!!!!
another stunning model Miloslav!!!
The missing access covers on the engine deck are okay, Iīve got a couple of pictures of M1A1(HC)īs still in service (even one in OIF1) that show the old engine cover...
Two questions though, have you corrected Dragonīs mistakes at the bustle rack, and which colors were you using for the NATO camouflage?
Rock on!!!!!

Hey Milo, where did you get the 2-37 decals??? I need to get my hands on some.
You made a Bravo Company 2/37 tank, I was on an A Company 2/37 tank... aside the rear deck, and road wheel/sprocket placement, the only thing that I see, is the tanks bumper number is wrong to be a roller tank, the 22 tank would have been a plow tank, and the 23 tank would have been the roller tank. I know its nit-picky, but its a fact. There would have been a HEMTT Storwage box and not 2 20mm ammo cans on the back of the bustle rack, the Battle Board and CIPs pannel would be attached to the box, and the 32 on the battle board and #1 skirt should be CARC Tan (the same as the backing for the bumper numbers.
I was on the 1st platoon A company roller tank A-13, all the 2-37 tank company tank platoons were set up the same. Pluss he parked his tank 4 spaces down and right across from my tank.... Its still pretty cool to see 2-37 markings on a tank.

Sorry for the back to back post.
Milo, here is picture of me sitting on the front of my tank in Kuwait. You can see the placement of the battle board/CIP pannel, and the stowage box. You can also see how the bumpber markings were placed on the mine roller bra. I hope this helps you out for either now or a future project.

I agree, I didn't see the back deck access panels on an M1A1 until my second tank. My third one didn't have them either.
