I never know what color to use for seats in trucks, jeeps, ect. What do you all use?
I have access to Model Master paints.
Thanks.

I use Tamiya's Khaki. I will 'dirty' it up a bit with a brown wash or pastels. Another tip I really like on these is the tissue overlay.
Cut a piece of tissue just big enough to fit over the seat and use a dilute solution of white glue to cover the tissue. Form fit it and let it dry on the seat. It gives a bit more texture. Paint as you normally would. Just be sure you have enough to wrap over corners and edges. I usually wait till its totally dry and then I use a new #11 and carefullly trim off any excess. Trying that when wet will cause problems.

I have seen real ones that were khaki as slodder suggests but I have also seen them a medium green colour....as for model master colours that would match I'm not sure as I don't use those too much.....maybe someone else will know.
Good luck

US vehicles - I use humbrol enamel #159 khaki drab and put a wash of tamiya acrylic XF51 or red brown over it with some dry brushing of dark green if necessary.

German vehicles - seats normally leather in the trucks so a brown leather look is best with dry brushing and washes to suit.

As to texture on seats if the plastic is too smooth I use a course sandpaper and "texture" it before painting.

Thanks for the responses guys. I was talking to my friend at the hobby shop today and he is working on the same model. He swears by the tissue method. I've made tarps that way and think I will do the seat covers with tissue.
