All,
I am working on a diorama of a Marine M1A1 during the Nov 04 fighting in Fallujah and have a couple questions.
- Can anyone give me a link to the series of photos showing a USMC M1A1 firing at point-blank into a house. There are 3 pics if I remember correctly..showing the track lighting up the house
- How common...if at all...was the field mod loader's gun shield at the time fo the major fighting in Fallujah? I have seen a few pics that show what looks like a "standard" HUMVEE shield and a couple that look like fabricated shields.
- I have seen 3 pics of the TC gun with a cut-open jerrycan attached to the mount holding the .50cal rounds. I can't tell if all these pics are of the same track. Does anyone know if this was a common, or rare practice or if in fact is was just that one track that had it?
- Can anyone give me any other ideas on field mods/equipment that might have been seen at this time?
Thanks in advance
Dave Lueck

Best bet is to find some pics of a certain tank from that time period and model it. There were lots of mods and upgrades being tried at that time. The jerrycan ammo box is/was not a common feature though. Just about anything else as far as upgrades could be possible though.

And I thought the doorbell ringing at dinner time by door to door salesman could be disruptive...

That is one serious case of PEEK-A-BOO.
Do we have a high res copy of that photo? Would love it as a desktop wallpaper.
