I have used them to paint my dinosaur models not to much on the armor as of yet but they are pretty good all 220 that cost some bucks. I know around here they go for $2.75 a bottle. They make a great series of air ones also. Great for figures I guess will give them a shot on the upcoming campaign in spring time also will try on this Pershing I got. Good luck on there use . An idea just occured to me Gunze makes a retarder called Mister retarder Mild I was going to see if it would work with all acrylic paints.

Tom, I have just recently started using Vallejo paints and I am very pleased with results. Since you have bought all 220 colors you know how great of a selection this is. You can also mix your own colors if you would like. You can mix them just like any other paints. You can even buy empty bottles and store you mixes in them. The only thing about these paints that drives me crazy is that I cannot stir the paint; instead I have to shake it in order to mix it. Some nights my arm feels like it is going to fall off from all that shaking. #:-)

Vallejo also strongly advises thinning the paint before use. I've been using this a lot in the last year or so and have been quite happy except for one bottle whose paint just wouldn't stick. http://www.acrylicosvallejo.com/ " TARGET="_blank"> http://www.acrylicosvallejo.com/ has a great article on using these paints. Select the language option you want and choose the model color ooption from the drop down menu.

AJ, this is an EXCELLENT article. It explains a lot of the techniques many falks have questions about i.e. layering and feathering acrylics.

This will help get the right colours for all those with Vallejo paints:
http://www.acrylicosvallejo.com/ and look for the colour chart.

Vallejo are excellent paint's. I use them exclusively on all my uniforms ( especially camouflage ) but I do favor enamel's & oil's for everything else. One thing about airbrushing them and since you bought all 208 colors. You don't need to go out and buy all the " AIR SERIES PAINTS. " Along's you properly thin ( with water ) the regluar Vallejo "Model Paint " , it can be airbrushed with excellent result's.
