Hey Guys! I need some ideas on the best gloss coat and flat coat that comes in spray cans? I have a lacquer based gloss coat and have Testors dullcote for an airbrush but I do not like the dangers of spraying lacquer based sealers over Tamiya Acrylics. I'm looking for something that is acrylic based and in a spray can.
Thanks,
Aaron C.

G'Day,
I have used Testors and Mr Hobb'ys flat coats in rattle cans over Tamiya acrylic with good results and no issues.
Just make them thin multiple coats not one heavy.
cheers

Hello Aaron,
I have used Testors DullCote over all kinds of paint. Tamiya acrylics, PolyScale
etc. will no ill effects. Just let the color coat cure completely. And always spray light coats.

Testors is laquer based as well. Laquer paints are actually quite neutral and can cover just about anything, and you can paint over it with just about anything Tamiya's spray paint line is also laquer based.

Aaron- Art supply stores sell clear acrylic in a can. As you can guess it is used to seal paintings. I have used it on my Soviet AFV,s and Soviet aircraft kits with no problems..
