Hello-
I was wondering about the suspension on the 1/16 scale Trumpeter T-34. A buddy of mine suggesting reinforcing the suspension (arms and attachment points), due to the weight (and size) of the finished model. He said that the suspension is weak. I can see where it seems a little flimsy. Has anyone experienced this? If so, how did you reinforce the arms?
Thanks! Matt

I have built 2 of these tanks, and the suspension has no problems wat so ever holding the weight of the finished kit, and giving a natural sit ... unless you plan on substituting the interior with white metal parts or making it a RC runner.
Even if you and 1 kg. weight, it only makes the tank sit 1-2 mm lower.
Cheers

I agree with Jan. I've built Trumeter's T34-85 and although the suspension pieces may seem a bit light duty, they do quite well holding up to the finished weight and provide a proper stance to the model.
I also have a WSN T34-85 (the RC version of Trumpeter's) which I am in the process of converting to an SU-85M. While digging into this one, I noticed that the suspension is quite a bit beefier in an effort better handle the extremes of RC running.
The stock suspension pieces should not be a problem.
Good luck with the build.
