I am completed with my M2 Bradly model (tamiya) and now Im ready to paint it, so I looked up some photos of it and found these
^^^Looks EXACTLY like the one I built^^^
I am wondering what is that coiled thing on the frount (barbedwire???) and what color is the tank. Is there anything else that I need to know befor painting and detailing?
thank you

The color has been reproduced by several makers. Polly S has a Desert Storm Special Tan, I don't remember if Model Master has it and it is close to Floquil Earth, if I remember correctly. People who were involved in DS said equipment was very hastily painted, with little masking. Vehicles were delivered with a paint scraper to scrape paint off glazing.
The coil is probably barbed wire.

Looks like concertina wire. There was an article about making it from window screening material-plastic rather than metal.

They are right, it is concertina wire. Think of it as barbed wire's nastier big brother. Their even worse uncle is often seen atop walls and fences of prisons and jails. Think of it as a giant Slinky spring with nasty razor hooks on the coils. Our barbed wire comes in smaller spools.
Notice the difference between the old type tracks (top photo) and newer tracks (lower photo). Top photo is either an M2 or M2A1 since it still has the firing ports on it. Bottom photo is an M2A2 and even has the swim barrier removed.
