I am looking for a book (currently in publication) that would be a great source on learning how to paint 1/35 scale figures. Any suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here are a few books.
1. Modelling Waffen-SS Figures by Calvin Tan
Osprey Modelling ISBN: 1-84176-837-5
2. Getting Started Painting Diorama Figures In Acrylics by Brett Avants
Letterman Publications
3. Armor Models Magazine Bi Monthly Issues
These books and magazines have excellent articles on figure painting.
Hope this helps

The book from Calvin Tan is really good.
I would also recommend the new book from Jaume Ortiz if you are painting in acrylics

I have both books pictured below.
I would recomend "How to paint Realistic..." if your just starting out and "Modelling Falls..." if your at an intermediate to advanced level.
Both books are excellent however I feel they fall into slightly differnt camps of experience / capability.
Cheers,
AndyD.
