Unless I'm mistaken, and I may be as it has been years, I don't recall the M1 specifically for the Reforger exercises. The last Reforger I did was mid- to late- 80's. I remember seeing a lot of different units and none of the vehicles we sent stateside (5th ID) to Germany (1984) or deployed from Germany (later 80's) had a winter camo scheme (3rd AD). The vehicles would have been in their normal three-color camo scheme. My M151 and our howitzers, et cetera (84) were three-color. My 'spando vans (next trip) were green...no camo.
Again, time flys and the mind blurs, but I just don't recall seeing M1's, let alone other vehicles "dressed" for the cold weather.

I've never seen US winter camouflage in person during a Reforger, but I think the Tamiya magazine I have at home has some photos of early M1s with some white camo applied over the solid green color. I do not know if the photos were taken during a Reforger or during cold weather testing of the tank.

I had an old book on armor that had photos of M1 with a very light whitewash on them with MILES gear on them. Couldn't tell you if it was REFORGER or not.

I just looked up the Verlinden photo. It is not a winter camouflage scheme, but just white wash paint slapped on the horizontal sides of the solid green tank. Much like WW2 tankers did to camouflage their vehicles.
