Can some kind soul please tell me what rattle can green in Tamiya is nearest to the Green used on Russian AFVs during WW2? I don't own an airbrush so it must be rattle can.

- as long as you're getting a dark green and as long as it's matt, it really shouldn't matter. As there was so much variatiation in 'Russian' Green (from olive to bottle green and every shade in between) no-one is going to describe it as incorrect. What would be preferable, is that if you could get yourself some of the TESTOR's (Model-Master) rattle cans in preference to the Tamiya stuff, it really is a lot better...

Also, be careful (as I have done ths myself) to pick up the paint for plastics, NOT for Polycarbonates - it's an easy mistake to make as they're all on the same rack... :-)

Thanks Jim. I will see if I can locate some Testors rattle can plastic paints.
The main problem here in New Zealand is that it is illegal to send spray cans by mail, which means waiting for a friend to visit ,or to arrange for someone to deliver it for you if you do not live in one of the main cities.

I have a JS 3 on the way from Hobby Easy and have a bit of time to arrange to have everything at hand for when I want to start the build.

With a JSIII go for the 'darker' end of the green. Postwar tended to be darker...
