Regarding the Tamiya M1A1 Abrams (non-mine-plow-equipped) kit:
The desert markings option shows the tank is from the 1st Armored Division. What sub-unit is that tank from (I don't how to read bumper codes) , and did that tank see action in ODS?
I ask because I like to on occasion make little colored sheets (that I laminate for protection), giving a brief description of the vehicle in question, the unit it's attached to, the time period, even a pic of the unit's crest or emblem, etc. for my models when I display them. And I would like more info on this, if possible.
TIA.

according to this website, 3-35 AR did not participate in ODS with 1st AD. So I am not sure what time frame this model was modeled. However as Gary has mentioned it could be modeled after the BDE Commanders Tank. http://www.militaryunits.com/1AD_project.htm#Campaign%20Participation
