Was M41 Walker Bulldog stationed in Germany ever painted in MERDEC Winter Verdant camo scheme ? (i.e Green, Brown, tan and black ?)
Any reference picture available ?

Nope, the M41 was long gone from US service when MERDC came out in the mid '70s. M41s were only around for a few years in the '50s. Some other countries may have applied MERDC to them though. Lots of countries used them through the years, there are still some in use in South and Central America today.

If youīre looking for some interesting camo schemes for the little Bulldog, you gotta check the ones used by the Brazilian and Chilean Army, some of those tanks are still in service. And the markings are not difficult to make at home

I think the Royal Thai Army still has a couple hundred M41 (A3's, I think) in service. Not sure what kind of camouflage they may have applied...

Hi Klaus,
I too can't get the link to work. I am very much interested in the Chilean M41s and M24s. I have not been able to get much in the way of the engine decks of either, correct me if I am wrong but I think the engines have been upgraded on Chile's M41 and M24 fleet as well in the 75mm gun on the M24 had been replaced with the 60mm gun used on the Chilean M50s. If you can help out that would be great.
Regards,
Rod

NG and Reserve units used the M41 well into the 1970's. Never saw one that wasn't painted O.D. green. I think I may have saw a couple Vietnamese tracks that were camouflaged. Plus it seems like Thialand and Taiwan camouflaged theirs. Perhaps Germany?

Thanks for posting those photos Henri.
But you know you have only teased a few of us with them.
Looks like the Chilean M24s received new power trains as well as new guns the rear deck does not look anything like the WWII version of the M24, also the rear of the hull is changed. Anyone have good photos of the rear deck and rear of the hull.
With the Chilean M41s did they receive new power trains as well or did they continue to use the original power train. I assume the M41s and M24s have been retired from service since Chile acquired Leopards and AMX tanks correct me if I am wrong.
Regards,
Rod

If you notice in the one pic of the chilean M24 with the 60mm gun there is a m41 behind it and as far as i can tell it still has the old engine deck
