Well, we'll see if this is really for real.

And yes, the Jagdpanther was based on the Panther Ausf. G

Well...

That tub looks like a KT one... hard to tell about the rest, and an aluminum barrel is easily turned for a 'display'...

Without better pics, I'd not start socking away my dinero... but I'm bias'd against WW2 Axis tanks. I'd kill for a Merkava, but I doubt the Israeli's would let Tamiya do the Mk. 4 in 1/16, even if they have the other marks in 1/35. I'd settle for a M18/M24 chassis, or retrofits to the Sherman chassis... ah well.

As usual, German armor wins again. Back to my Leopard C1 refit.

Speaking of Tamiya, I see that they are going to re-release their 1/25 scale Centurion kit due to popular demand.

Heck, how much more 'demand' do they need to re-release their Leopard 1A4 or Gepard in 1/16th scale?

They don't even have to make 'em full-option, just they way they were would be just fine with me!!

And of course, the 1/16th Panther will do just fine too! :-)

Wechoe is doing a 1/16 Panther G as well...

Wechoe Panther

Don't know the cost, but it's my guess it's going to be a lot more then what Tamiya will put out. Just look at all the metal you get. I'm saving my pennies for this one.

It's around $1,200.00 for the kit, then you'll need to have a Tamiya TI FO kit for all the electronics and suspension parts plus some other mentionables.

Better get on 'the list' for I heard it's a limited release.

I have to agree Jeff!

Many of us would kill for even recasts for spares. Demand for parts is so high that AFV-Model is making replacement roadwheel rubber, and replacements for most of the suspension parts.

As for most of the Tamiyas, they also make replacement tools, and the often-lost MG3 turret mount (which can also be used for the 2A6, which isn't shipped with any gun!)

Has anyone thought about making a Leopard & Gepard restoration group? We have a Marui Tank Group, a Bandai, HL & Wasan group, why not a Leopard/Gepard restoration group? I'd do it, but I'm not quite the best promoter for it, even if I own two Leo's already plus spares, and may soon own another pair of 1A4s.

You make a group, I'll join, and volunteer as a mod!
