Hi,
I have completed the Tamiya JGSDF Motorcycle Recon set a few months ago. I built the kit straight from the box. All I added are the sling on the gun and strap on the binoculars. Tamiya is always the best, the kit is a fun to build.
Your comments are much appreciated.
Here are the pics:

Steve-O aka Sushi aka Octopus aka "Da Squidster"
Well Steve, another great effort on your part.
As others have mentioned the camo work is very well done. I like the lense work on the goggles, and the deep texture you've gotten on the facial skin.
The cycle is very cleanly built with a touch of highlight on the chain. Nice work.
ps: What did you make the sling and straps out of?

nice work
I specially like that camouflge and those dust masks on the helmets.
How did you paint them? Did you use the some method like painting periscopes?

Very nice work !
I do have two suggestions....
the fabric of their uniforms looks shiny in the pics, I would try for a dead flat finish there.
See if you can maybe tighten up the rifle sling, the weight should be pulling it tight across the top of his shoulder. I know that's nitpicky, but that's what happens when there's nothing major to criticize.

Steve, that's an excellent job on the camo, I'd dread doing anything like that. I also liked the back end of the bike, the lights look effective. Was the map part of the kit? It may look a little "thick" and a bit stiff, but that really is nit-picking. I cannot really criticise, well done.

Guys,
Thanks for your comments. I just painted the camo of the uniforms according to the instructions with Tamiya acrylics. I think any one can do it.
Roger: The map is not part of the kit. It's a after market product. I cut it out for the figure when I took the pic, no weathering on it.
For the sling, I used tin foil paper to attach on the rifle. I should have pressed the sling a bit so that it could sit on the shoulder properly. Anyway, thanks again for all your comments.

Nice work. I specially like that camouflge and the choice of colours for the bike. the weathering combined makes it really cool. Well done octopus!

Guys,
Thanks again for your comments. I am thinking to put the figures and the bike to a little dio at a later time. I just build the figures and the bike OOTB and painted them according to the instruction sheet. I am sure that all you guys can do as good as or better than I did.
