can the m113 fitter unit lift the m60a3 power pak complete from the tank or will it be left to the m88a1 to do the job

The M113 Fitter's Vehicle is one of the few variants NOT used by the US Army. It is configured as a mobile repair vehicle rather than a recovery vehicle. The HIAB crane on the left side of the hull can be used to lift items such as a complete powerpack out of other M113s.
Thus I would assume that it cannot lift such a heavy unit.
It is used by the IDF and Canadian armies...

It cannot lift a Leopard Power pack so I would suggest that an M60 power pack is also out of the question.

The M113 fitter as used by Israel can't lift that much weight. but a m88 would'nt be used either. The vehicle usually seen in use is the 25 ton crane on the back of a 5 ton or 2.5. in Israel they're called REOs I think they're M816 or M62 series. TO the best of My knowledge no 900 series 5 tons are used.
