Can anybody tell me if this kit represents a WWII vehicle? I can't tell by the cover but the machine guns look like more modern weapons. Since I only model WWII items I wouldn't want to buy it and find out it was more recent.
Thanks in advance.

Rodger:
I'm sure you'll get a more complete answer from someone else, but yes that is a modern vehicle (Post WWII). Tamiya does make several WWII SAS and Long Range patrol vehicles....
Hope that helps at least a bit, and if I'm incorrect I'l take a history lesson!

Hey Rodger,
Nate is right on the money with his comment...The "Pink Panther" kit is post W.W.II. Tamiya does make a S.A.S. Willys and L.R.D.G. truck that are both W.W.II.

Sorry... that was a typical 70'svehicle (couldn't you have said from the color ? #:-) ).
Anyway, it's a fun and cheap build (you can even add some nice eduard PE to it) !

Thank you all. I have the LRDG from Tamiya just about built, I'm just working out all the extra storage items. I keep flip flopping between modifying the Tamiya Jeep that I have into an SAS Jeep or buying either the Tamiya or Italeri SAS Jeeps. I am also planning on making a "Scorpions Tail" LRDG truck with a anti tank gun mounted in the back.
I knew that some SAS or LRDG vehicles were painted a color very close to pink but that Tamiya kit just looked a little too modern to be WWII.
Thanks again.
Rodger
