As most have said you need to be a bit more specific, no one is going to reply with a full blown history of the Merk and all the details known to man. If you tell us what you want to know maybe we can help, I have some books on it so....
Alternativly you can get many answers within a few seconds on google, if its more detailed info you need try getting some books such as Ospreys Merkava book, or Tankograds book, concord has some old books on the middle east conflicts with plenty of pics....................

Merkava info?
Well, for starters the country is spelled...Israel....not Isreal...and it should have a uppercase letter "I" as a first letter.
There is a ton of information on the internet and in published books. There are four Marks of the tank thus far...each one progressive with weapon and armour technology.
You could also try posting a specific question about the tank in the IDF(Israeli Defence Forces) group topic in the Armor/AFV forum on Armorama.
Good luck with your search.

Wow, that is a great link. Even though I have not planned any Israeli weapons for my work bench it might come in handy.

Some basics.
The engine is in the front right, and since Israel has a smaller population than some of its Arab neighbours, the tank is built on multi-functioning and crew survivability. Moving the engine to the front helps protect the driver, and also frees up a large area in the back.
Marks 2 and above I believe have an interally aimed, reloaded, and fired 60mm mortar.
The empty space in the back could serve many purposes. You could carry extra ammo, hold a mobile command post, or carry 4 fully armed infantry soldiers that could disembark through a small rear door.
