There are a few kits outthere, but the Google search at the top of the page is great for finding the 10 or so threads already started. They go into detail as to which kit would work best, fits best, modifications, ect.

Search for "M1A1 engine" and follow the links.

Good luck and welcome to Armorama!

I know CMK makes one, but I don't know if it will fit in the M1A1 AIM.

I have no idea. You could PM Miloslav (Bulivyf). I think he was planning to put one in a Dragon AIM.

HI, I this use for Tamiya M1A2 but my friend this use for DML AIM with small adjustment.
For engine out you must make of new rear site cooler. CMK engine is best before Verlinden.

This kit is designed for the Tamiya kits - at least thats what it says on the box. However, the instructions say its for the Dragon kits.........

Regards,

Lee

PS - we have one in stock

I think the CMK engine was mastered before the new Dragon AIM came out, so they are probably talking about the earlier Dragon M1A1 kits, which would be similar dimensionally to the Tamiya hull. The CMK part of the engine compartment is a tight fit in the new AIM kit, a lot of material needs to be sanded off of the sides.
Did Verlinden ever make an M1 pack? I know of the Hobby Valley/Kirin and Legends ones. CMK is better looking IMO.

Verlinden make of engine for Italeri kit but in this pack missing compartment - this is on kits but very bad.
