Very very nice! I like the subtle paint chips and just the overall look of the kit.

I'm not a big fan on modern armour, but that looks absolutely amazing. The tyres look great.

Great job. I would question the color of the bumper markings, but having been in Europe during the time this vehicle was in service, I seriously doubt there was a uniformity on bumper markings. Usually, they were black on a flat sand background. Superb job on a difficult to replicate verhicle.

Hi, I use decals from Italeri 5 ton Truck, now I think that this no good step.

Miloslav-- I would say the correct markings should be black numbers and letters on a flat sand background. Soemone else may have served with the 3rd AD in Europe and can provide better information, but I think I am right.

I understand yellow background is bad.

Very nice! With many hours spent on M-62 5ton wreckers and the newer HLVW 10 ton this one sure has a soft spot for me!

Good luck in the contest!

cheers

What a beauty! I'm looking around for my keys to the padlock and the dispatch logbook. I'll be digging up my pictures from mine in German and sending some Euros to get my kit.

How hard is the kit to build and what have you added to the kit to get your model?

I'll have to put the yellow and black stripes on the front bumper, the outrigger pads, and the end of the boom. Other changes to get a mid-70's wrecker are to get the Oxy/Ac tanks the right shade of green and yellow, those sure blow the camo job to heck doesn't it. Oh and the coupling for the air lines on the fron and rear were color coded also, not sure of the colors today. And to think I got grief about a 10 inch cartoon on the front of the air filter giving my vehicle's position away to those Pesky Russians or East German MIG jockeys.
